Any preffered temps for shipping cribos this time of year? Would you recomend adding a heatpack to bump the temps to 60ish with a daytime temp of 65. Any ideas would be great.

60ish cool at night with 85 durring the day? I realize heat packs up the box temps 20 degrees. So is 85 to warm durring shipping?
i wouldn't use a heat pack, it'll become much too warm in there. & besides, they use up oxygen as well. the cribo will only be in the box for 16 hours or so & as long as it's insulated, he'll be nice & comfy w/out getting all stressed. a much calmer animal will arrive at it's destination.....
With those temps I wouldn't use a heat pack.
My general rule of thumb...if nighttime lows are above 50 at your location, the destination, AND the sorting point (ie. Indianapolis or Memphis for FedEx) then no heatpack should be needed. Temps 40-50 at any of these locations is a judgement call. Below 40 degrees I use a 40 hour heatpack. Make sure heatpack is kept away from animal using newspapers.

I was thinking a 40 hour heat pack as overnight temps will be 35 degrees.
