Urates inquery...

SRX Oct 31, 2007 07:16 PM

I have just been wondering what other keepers experience with blood python BMs. What do the normal/average urates look like from the blood pythons you keep? I have an adult pair of SSTPs and they seem to always pass very firm round clumps of urates. They have access to belly heat basking and a large sized litter pan for soaking and are housed in the plastic-topped(perforated holes) Freedom Breeders(for reference). Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
Scott

Scott,

They don't poop often, especially when they get some age on them. Usually the urates are hard in my experince from all three species.

Thanks, BC. I had wondered if maybe I was using too hard of a water source as their urates have always been very firm.
