Hey, that's not ugly at all! Where is the opening though, may I ask? Neat way to get a tall together!

Its pretty nice...ive been doing some tank alterations myself. Were did you find that black hinge? Looks like the hinges on the glass tops sold at pet stores.

Excellent guess.
I was too lazy to research hinges so I used one from a top opening glass accessory that they sell at petstores..
Slayton, looking at the front of the tank the solid black in the center is where the tanks are glued together, just above that is another black line that is the hing, the glass door goes almost up to the top of the tank and opens down, this way I didn't have to add a support to hold it open, I just flop it down and feed away.
Also used cheap tile bits from walmart to drill the holes for everything. who says europeans know it all!!!
