I am just curious if Rare Earth is still operating?
Your post has sat unanswered for a while, so I'll take a stab at it since I'm not 100% sure.
As a side note, I had the priviledge of getting a tour of the Rare Earth facility when they were located near Richmond Va. What an incredible building!!! One room had zoo-like enclosures for lots of lizards. Walk-in cages! It was cool.
Years later I heard they had dumped their stock. People were starting to sell babies advertised as "parents were Rare Earth adults I ended up with after they closed"
My best guess is that they no longer exist and a good portion of their animals are distributed around now.

Rare Earth is still operating, but not in any capacity as in previous years. The name was sold to Jason Kaline after the original owners ( Joe lewis and I forget who else? ) disbanded the collection. Jason narrowed it down to mostly Aussie Monitors, but sold the business to its new owners not long ago. I don't know what the new owner(s) has planned, but they do have some decent shoes to fill.
