I've always cooled NA colubrids the standard way 55 for three months and had nothing but good results. I'm thinking of changing it up a bit this year so I don't have to stick them in a fridge and cause my pair of pines are still active and have'nt chilled out yet. What are peoples opinions on keeping the ambient temp at 60 and maybe providing a warmer spot durring the day?
Is this going to keep thier metabolism too high and cause them to loose to much body mass?
Should I provide a light source basking area or a uth?
