Boa room

mack1time Nov 01, 2007 04:52 PM

I have been putting this off for quite some time and previously had my snakes displayed all around the house. This seemed to require alot of lights, timers and heatpads. I narrowed all my animals into one room which I can easily heat. Also there will be no smoking in this room and alot less vibrations.
My collection includes
3.3 Bcc
3.3 Cornsnakes
1 tarantula
1 scorpian

Everyone always seems to go that route, if they have a room to spare and quite a few animals.

I know that since I put all my snakes in one small room (away from our main living space), they all seem to be feeding more regularly (even the couple of picky ones), and they are easier to keep up to temp.... especially in the winter!

I actually converted a third of my garage (insulated of course) into my snake room. If you keep more than just a couple of snakes, then their own room is the only way to go.

Man that hex is cool. Looks like an old 5 and 10 store counter display. Whats in that one?

Yeah I scored that sweet display from a recycling plant with a small crack on top. I did have to modify it a little by adding a vent, heat light and turn knob instead of the lock without a key that was on it!!

I usually have my beeder male Zeus in there and he is a 2 year old male pastel BCI boa
