Does anyone know?

justinmorse Nov 01, 2007 06:47 PM

Somehwere I can find a decent selection of dwarf retics and or yellow anacondas?

Or can someone make some reccommendations to me for some decent medium sized boids?

I've been out of the game for a while. I'm just coming back into things and I'm looking to start where I left off, but there's so many new things out there!

Help!

I would say go with a blood python I got mine through NERD. They get really thick and are a great snake. In fact I am looking to get another. A dwarf retic can still get 12ft. Or you can get a male green anaconda, they get about 8ft 10ft but I still think that is large. Kelly Haller is who I got green from.

Good Luck

I didn't realize male greens stayed so small?? That's definitely an option then.

Anywhere between 8-12ft is okay with me. Like I said, it's not that I'm new to this, it's just been a while.

And I like bloods, it's just that they don't get quite long enough for me. Ideally, I'd like something between 8-10ft that I'm going to be able to handle.

Another thing to factor in is something where the female isn't going to turn into the next horror movie monster, because I'm looking to get back into breeding. I just want to start off on the mid-sized side of things.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I think that no one really knows how big dwarfs can get. I see people saying 6ft 3 years old and so on but they grow for their lives. Sorry if you felt I was responding if you knew nothing. Not my intention. If you want to breed and do not want a large female, then you may have to go just with a Boa, then again whats another 2 or 4 ft when its already 10 or 12. But then again I am not an expert on dwarfs.

They just havent been around all that long. Jamps only started being imported around 99 or so. The rest of the dwarfs came in after that.

I guess I'm stuck with carpets or GTPs then, lol.

I live in an apartment, which is the cause of my not being able to house a 15ft tic. 10ft I can do, not an issue. 5ft makes a difference though, as I'm sure you all know.

As a side note, here's a little humor for you guys:

I posted a wanted ad on another site, and got a response from a guy saying he had a pair of yellow anacondas for adoption, and that I could buy the eggs and the incubator if I wanted as well.

If anyone comes across anaconda eggs, please, let me know.

My anaconda eggs are incubating right next to where I keep my unicorn babies!!

Actually they were imported several years before that. It was in 1999 that Cindy Baldogo produced the first captive bred Jampeas in the US. Cindy was working with them several years before that time. Thought that I would clear that up a little.

Thanks Jim. I thought 99 was an important date for jamps but wasnt quite sure if that was the import year or breeding yeay.
