Is that normal?
Had my california king about 5 months now and in the last 3 months he's shed 3 times. Last time was about 2-3 weeks ago and I just turned around a minute ago and he shedded again! He's a little over 2 years old, about 3 feet long in a 20 gallon tank. Probably the best feeding response out of ANY animal I've ever owned. I just thought snakes might shed 2 or 3 times a year, not in a quarter of a year..
Healthy Kingsnakes on a regular diet should shed once a month...

My kings, especially the younger ones, shed every 5-6 weeks.
