My Thayeri, about 2.5 feet, killed a small adult but did not eat. It appears from the wetness of the mouse that he had the mouse in his mouth but did not get it all the way down. Could it have been too big? I thought he would be able to handle it

Mike, should I wait awhile or can I offer food right away? He shed yesterday and took the mouse immediately. I have smaller frozen mice for my other snakes, but he will not take f/t, he refused last night after he couldn't eat the mouse.
Thanks
Go ahead and give it a try with a smaller prey item, there is no need to wait..
