Couple of things I saw there. Try to get the snake onto the cleaner side of the tank or get the greener stuff (moss?) out of the way first. It may not hurt him, but why take the chance? Some of it could stick to the rat.

In my opinion, that rat pinky is a little too big for that particular snakes. Yeah, he ate it fine, but look at the lump left in the snake afterwards. It is huge compared to the rest of the snake.

Generally speaking, look at the largest part of the snake. Just for sake of argument, lets say that he is the size of a nickel. The food item should be the size of a nickel too. If that size prey item is all you can get, you can cut them in half lengthwise while they are still frozen. kinda gross, but you can do it.

While feeding them from tongs, hold the rat more towards the tail end. That way the snake has less of a chance if biting the tongs.

Not trying to shake my finger at you saying you did it way wrong, just some tips for next time. Trying to keep the safety and health of the snake in mind first.

Now, what did you use to make the vid? Was it a dig camcorder? What program did you use to do the editing and adding the song? Can a program like that be downloaded for free, or do they all have to be bought?

3.I always do head first with my green tree python, its easier for the snake to eat it that way

1.sony point and shoot with video cabable. Im getting an hd hard drive one soon though. Windows movie maker does the job good, its free with xp and vista, the song was just the full thing
