What do you think of this guy? He is a butter, and I thought that he would be great with my students (I am a science teacher).

That's a good-looking butter corn. It also looks like it's already grown to a size where it can do well in a classroom situation and not be stressed out.

On your school site, you're holding a very nice bass; where was that caught? I am south of Chicago too and do a little bass fishing from time to time, usually in some small marshes with a pair of waders....check the one on the wall...

That bass was actually caught in a retention pond in my subdivision! I've had better luck in retention ponds than I have in the Dupage!

What did you catch him on? In the shallow ponds & marshes in our area, I have always had great luck with the "Mann's Baby 1-Minus" and single blade spinner baits.

We were jigging Gary Yamamoto plastic worms...we have had a lot of luck with the pumpkin colored ones this summer
