Hi All!
For those of you who asked to keep ya updated- and sorry for the wait- my american toad will be ok according to the vet. (Yeah, I found one! Yay!) He isn't real sure what exactly is wrong but he says that he will most likely be alright, though he will have problems with that leg maybe for the rest of his life. So, at least its not metabolic bone disease, or an impaction, or an abcess or something that would be deadly. Its unfortunate that his leg probably won't get better, but at least he will be around. The toad actually has been acting like nothing bothers him anyway - eating and acting normally. Its probably a dislocated leg and the vet said that even if he could get the leg back in the joint there is no way of helping it stay back in since the toad will move around a lot and it just might pop back out. He told me to continue to watch him for any major changes.
Thanks to all of you who were concerned about "Pretty" the toad! (Yeah, I know its kinda a lame name for a MALE toad, but he is a pretty toad ya know!) )
