puffy eye area....wondering if anyone knows what this could be

mabelbomb Aug 23, 2003 05:48 PM

I have a male veiled chameleon which his eyes have all the suddenly gotten very puffy. They almost looked like little deflated balloons and as this being the weekend does anyone have any ideas? Everything else is totally normal with this guy, eating well and he wasn't mine to begin with. Any ideas would be helpful.

Hi-

Is he starting to shed his skin, or rubbing his eyes, did you just mist the cage? All of the above are things that will cause the eye to balloon up, and will go away, mine do it all the time when they shed or during or right after a mist. Hope this helps!
