One of my favorite Boas

boaphile Nov 05, 2007 04:02 PM

This is one of my favorite Boas:

He is 2 1/2 years old and was produced by Chris Canada Smith. I got him as a youngster. Chris did not want to let him go but I strong armed him for it. He is in with the "Purple P" female Pastel Boa that Erich Gaertner once owned. She was picked up at Strictly Reptiles the same year as the Colombian Hypo I have. She darkened up a lot but was a really washed out purplish Pastel as a baby. Erich's computer crashed that had the original photos of her when she was a baby and I did not know I was going to end up with her one day so I did not save those images. I guess we will just have to wait and see what their babies look like someday, assuming he ever decides to start trying to breed that is...

Jeff,
Do you think that snake might have the "Ultra" gene as mentioned earlier regarding hypos? It sure is clean.
There's a good chance I'm not even close to having any relevance with that question. Admitted genetics brick.

He is looking good Jeff, and he couldn't have gone to a better person. I still sorta regret letting him go, but I kept this guy for myself and he turned out alright too. That is odd he hasn't bred for you his father and his brother are both great breeders.

You got a very nice boa there. That one resembles the father very much and was hard to let go as well. In fact that whole litter was hard to see go, but I held back a couple for myself.
