southern hog question

cochran Nov 05, 2007 08:17 PM

I have a pr. of southern hog yearlings. The male is getting ready to shed anytime,I just noticed that his tail has a swollen look to it.He doesn't have any blisters, sores etc. but his tail has a bulbous appearance.Could this mean he is sexually mature?? Thanks!, Jeff

More than likely an infection of a gland or hemipenis. Post a pic or take to a vet.
