nesting box project and heating project?

hey guys, i know cyclura dont like to lay eggs in cool sandy areas, has any one tried the zoomed heat cable to warm the sand area's up ??? or has any one had any experince with the zoo med heating cable??? i was gonna like there hide with it also , good idea or bad?
