Tom Anderson Nov 06, 2007 08:27 AM

Does anyone have a captive care sheet for the bamboo ratsnakes, Elaphe porphyracea? Is anyone here working with these?

Thanks,
Tom Anderson

Tom,

All porphyracea can be cared for pretty much the same.

Check this sheet out:

For what it is worth, I believe it is now Oreocryptophis porphyracea...

the porphs are great to work with, and there is quite the variety out there. definitely stick with captive bred.

there are a number of porph breeders here on the forum, including around the world : )
