shedding issue

harrysmolker Nov 06, 2007 03:08 PM

One of my kings just shed and about an inch and a half long piece of skin was retained on the underside of the head. It looks as if the old skin on the lower lip didn't split and so could not be peeled back. I soaked her briefly in warm water but is there anything else I could do? Also, does this sound like it is related to husbandry issues or just a screw up in shedding? Thanks.

It happens- don't sweat it, and leave it alone.

It'll come off on it's own accord- if not sooner, definitely with the next shed.

Check the humidity during the opaque cycle, and make sure the snake has something to rub on to get it started...
