Why can't that happen at my door??? Maybe because in Michigan?? I can always dream Brian (BHB)

I'd like to see an alligator sometime, but maybe not in suburbia knockin' at someone's front door. I suppose folks in Florida are used to seeing them in all sorts of odd places, but I'd like to think they have happy little homes in swamps far away from people, fertilizers, and concrete. Yeah, call me a dreamer.

If I encountered one at my door in Coloraddy, I'd immediately be plagued with letters on how I'm violating housing covenants or some such nonsense.

Unlike that woman from Illinois with the ball python in her back yard, I wouldn't set my dog on the scaled intruder.

Yeah it's not so fun when it happens to you.... When I lived down in the suburbs of Ft. Lauderdale we had a similar incident involving a 9ft. female on our screened in back porch trying to lay eggs in my sandbox when I was 8. I gotta see if I can dig up those pictures.

I think my family would have a massive case of the giggles at discovering an alligator laying eggs in the sandbox.

We run into bobcats sometimes up here, but that's about the 'deadliest' big predator we've seen.

Definately share those sandbox pics! That sounds pretty funny to me. As long as you weren't IN the sandbox at the time, anyway.

Just put out a heat light and they'll be drawn to the heat and you'll catch them.

Have you gotten that fake email that's circulating about the 9 ft, 100 lb rattler found in Michigan? Maybe you'll find the real one :P

That is a neat little guy. Nothing quite as impressive as a good sized gator!
