The Pearl line - named!!

rainbowsrus Nov 07, 2007 11:29 AM

Well, after going back and forth I finally settled on pearl industry related names for all the "pearl" line babies, thought it was fitting. So here they are again but this time with names!

Pearl, Female "Hypo"

Baroque Male "Hypo" (a pearl shape meaning elongated)

Oyster, Female "normal" (think of all the pearls gonna come out of this "oyster"

Pistachio, Male "normal" (a pearl color meaning yellowish green / greenish yellow, sounded like a good name for the second male)

Aubergine, Female "normal" (Dark grayish purple color, not her color but a pretty name none the less)

Akoya, Female "normal" (a type/brand of pearl)

Apricot, Female "normal" (light pinkish orange used for freshwater pearls)

Biwa, Female "normal" a type/brand of pearl)

rainbowsrus Nov 07, 2007 11:54 AM

Remember the names.....that's what the tracker cards are for!!!

Apricot is a hottie, she's the only one that's shed for me during the week I've had them. Give me a few weeks and I should have the whole "set" of just shed pics!

Yeah, ya gotta love the variety of things ya go through with snakes. I'm in the middle of what I call feeding season for my adults, eating everything I throw in with them. Also pooping it out the other end more so need more frequent cage cleaning. Before too long, time to start cooling still feeding like crazy. A couple of months later, time to start raising the temps back up and get them together, soon after that they'll start refusing meals. Then it'll be watching and recording activity. and so on and so on until we're back here at having babies on the ground!

catching up with him Aubrey and that birthday surely didn't help the ordeal

rainbowsrus Nov 08, 2007 10:41 AM

Yeah the shake rattle and roll did add to the mix, that and vending a two day show last weekend, on my feet and talking pretty much all day - both days. My wife had to force me to sit and eat lunch!! I had a blast but it does take a lot out of ya!!!

And I'll take old age any day, the alternative is what really sucks!!!
