My regular burm looks like your "high contrast" burm, but she isn't a dwarf, so I don't know if that means anything to you or not. I'm pretty sure they just vary in contrast and it's normal.

Here are pictures of some of our dwarfs. We currently have 3.4 dwarfs. 5 are adults, 2 are babies. We can handle the babies and one of the adults. The other 4 adults are typical dwarfs, hard to handle.

Your male seems to have a brighter yellow than ours. It would be interesting to see if this is passed on to offspring. How old are your dwarfs and when do you plan on breeding?

This is our 2004 female that we can handle. She is around 6 feet. We are hoping she will breed this year.

This is our 2007 male that was produced in Europe.

Here is another 2004 female. We are hoping she will also breed this year.

Thank you for sharing. Dwarfs are truely amazing!

Hi thanks for your replies
At present nothing can be proven about his genetics, as hes only one and a half (so is the female) it could just be the case that he is high contrast as we know normal burms do vary greatly.
We hope to breed them in 2010

I’m yet to see another dwarf like him.

I have a pair of 2003 dwarfs,

The female is high contrast and looks almost exactly the same as your female - she is about 6.5ft - the male is much darker and about 5ft - I suspect its just natural variation.

Hoping to breed them this year.
