Anyone use an AP cage w/a basking shelf?

Phiff1 Nov 07, 2007 03:48 PM

I couldn't find any photos on the Animal Plastics website and was curious if anyone had a cage with the shelf and/or photos of one.

Thanks,

Chris

Oh cool, thanks. It kind of looks like the snake could just fall off of that...

they could just fall off the perches used in boaphile as well if a snaek falls it falls lol they arent all smart or well balanced lol.

They're actually kinda dumb. I had a baby strike at me when I opened it's tub, came flying out and it would have fell 5 feet to the floor had I not caught it mid air. Probably would have been fine but still, dumb snake!!

lol nice closest i had to that was whent eh corns went MIA and got out thier tubs in the rack i was reaching back to grab one that was ontop the heat tape and it comes flyin out the rack and does a leap of faith lol. it was only 3 foot off the ground and on carpet but still goofey animals lol. then of course i have the random thump and thuds in the middle of the night like who was that and how did they make that noise lol.

i use tehm with my carpets.

i have kept rainbows in ap cages, but i find that because of the volume of liquid urine they excrete, the cage, and corners are very hard to keep clean.

a large well ventilated tub is the best housing for a brb in my opinon.

ap has some great new racks with tubs that are like 4 1/2 feet long, a foot high and nearly 2 feet wide. i have seen people keep bloods in them, and tehy would be perfect for rainbows.
