Janus (or one of her heads anyway) eats!

vjl4 Nov 07, 2007 07:25 PM

Well, I wasn't sure how this would happen but it was pretty cool to watch. Both heads went for the pinkie, one head won and the other just kinda did its own thing. Still freaks me out just a little

Wow!!!....that is too much!

I was just posting a little while ago on another forum about a polycephalic(two-headed) pyro!

Now that I think of it, "Polly" would be a VERY fitting name too!!LOL(if it's a female)

I've often wondered about going about feeding those!.......

From what I've heard, one of the heads usually dominates to some extent, as that only makes good sense.

I bet the head that looses out on meals gets pretty irritated with things after a while!LOL

I guess you could try to at least maybe put a thin piece of plastic, heavy paper, or something similar in between(like blinders on a horse) to give both heads a chance to feed now and then, as long as you closely supervise them(which I'm SURE you do!)LOL

congrats!, and good luck with "THEM"!!

Wow Vinny, that's cool. I didn't know you produced a two header this year. Looks like both heads are functional and the snake will survive. Was that from your Lemke line or Lemke x Cosala?

Hey Dave, both cool and a little weird at the same time!

Its acutally from the apricots, and apart from having two heads is other wise normal.

Best,
Vinny

when are you going to post babies from your Cosala female?

I should produce some 100% Cosalas next year!

Hopefully soon, they just will not eat regularly. Its my own damn fault though. We had really warm weather in the northeast and then all of a sudden winter came and I didn't have the heat up. So now they know its winter

That is an awesome Cosala! Its one of Sanders right?

Best,
Vinny
