Longevity question

FloridaHogs Nov 07, 2007 09:45 PM

What is the longevity of tricolor hognose in captivity? Southern hognose?

Western is 14-17 years
Easterns can live 11 (on the proper diet)

Just wondering about the other two.

What is the oldest you have heard of?

I can guarantee you there are some Eastern and Western hogs in captivity that are older than this! I don't own them, but they must be out there.

The problem with tricolors is that they haven't been readily available for more than about 15 years. I strongly suspect all of these species will live 20 years in captivity.
