so if i understand correctly mexico no longer allows export of their animals is this correct?
so no one has really been back to do a study their recently either?
so no new blood lines and obviously a ton of inbreeding and interbreeding?

to solve all of this we need to get someone in their to study the area and get real newage results, then we can diminish the need to inbreed and interbreed, but to do it we need to get some new blood lines over the mexican border without anyone knowing>>>>>>>>>>but how could anybody get over the border without being caught>>>>>>>>>oh wait president bush says anyone can come over so lets just go to mexico and catch some snakes and give them to those who are coming over by the truck loads and that solves all our problems

Mexico no longer allows exports. There have been some recent studies on Latin American Lampropeltis; some has been published, some is forthcoming (including, I believe, a revision of triangulum). As for smuggling critters across the border... I'll leave that alone.

With all the people crossing that border down there we cant get a single resident of Sinaloa to bring us some presents for our hospitality???

Is that a Cosala animal? How many did you hatch this year?

-Cole

vjl4 Nov 09, 2007 11:20 AM

Yeah, she is my best Cosala female (and 11 yrs old!). I think there were 20 or so, but they are being really stubborn eaters. It was all warm and nice, and then over night winter came. Now, nobody wants to eat any more.

And as I am sure you can tell by now, sinaloans are my favorite.

Best,

I noticed your sweeet Cosala stock right away!....

If that original poster from the other day(Honduran,Sinaloan) would have gotten a look at yours,.....it would be pretty obvious that there really IS a big difference between the two, when using good examples!...........Nice!

wow what a milk.i drool imagining flipping some debris south of the border and feastin' my eyes on that.....now much as i want to resisit chomping down on that troller's bait that started this thread,i just thought i'd throw this out there,as it seems several folks here don't consider this-it's so much easier not to....but these folks 'flooding across our border' are just filling a need-a niche,if you will-created by this nation itself and it's tendencies towards very high consumption, high fecundity paired with low mortality(compared to the rest of the world where high birth rates are tempered by high mortality);these new immigrants take mostly very low end jobs -often requiring much hard labor-that pay pretty poorly.anyway this niche is only there because well, most of us american-born folks are just not willing to work those jobs.sure there's some exceptions, but this is the rule.it's all relative-where these latinos come from(pick a country, any country)our minimum wage isn't too bad......bottom line, unless anyone of you are predominantly to full-blooded native american, you really have no leg to stand on re:basing people coming to this country to get a piece of that highly touted 'american dream'.

At the rate others are flooding our country, AND pro-creating,
in the not too distant future, there won't be enough room for us Americans to have an....."AMERICAN DREAM"!

That's really something to seriously think about!

That's exactly what our Native Americans were saying to themselves when white settlers first started to appear. LOL!
Being Blackfeet and Gross Ventre, pronounced Grow Vont, I find it absolutely hilarious! LOL! What comes around goes around!
The only difference is the Mexicans aren't committing a holocaust.
The irony is that Spain settled many parts of North America before the English did. Now in a peaceful way they're taking a little bit of what was their's back. I also find it absolutely ridiculous that many immigrants into the U.S., illegal or otherwise, have a better knowledge of our constitution and laws than a born in the U.S.A. high school graduate. Sad, sad, sad, but "WE" did design this system, so who's to blame. I sure don't blame the poor Mexican that sees greener pastures across his northern border.

Well Indians fought and stole land amongst each other long before Spaniards, French, Europeans, etc. came and did it to them. And all the white races, black ones and yellow ones were all doing it to themselves and others long before that too. There is no race that can claim a moral superiority with regard to warring and taking land that I can think off.
Why are immigrants flocking here? Not to join American Indian tribes and live a nomadic lifestyle. It is because of the laws and freedoms that are provided for under the Constitution of the United States of America which was written and won by Americans. To destroy the system in order to become part of it doesn't make long term sense.

I wasn't bashing anyone. Just making a statement of fact, lots of people are crossing the southern border. That said its not quite the invasion its being made out to be. Theres no massive voter fraud, or drain on social services and American culture is not going to collapse. No more so than when Italians or the Irish came over.

Like you said, its economics. I find it rather sad that Mexico is a third world country (outside of some trendy resorts) and we (in the royal sense, I really mean the government) do little economic development there. The real solution is to get the Mexican economy and standard of living up to a high enough level that people no longer want to leave. (That also means the Mexican government needs serious reform.)

And we dont even need anyone to being over sinaloans, just wait a few years and as the west continues to warm up during the winters and dry out thier range will just move north. I have some friends in the midatlantic states that have seen armadillos the last few years!

Best,
Vinny

for the well thought-out response, obviously some original thoughts there, not just recycled rhetoric....to me there's hardly anything more fascinating than the already-very complicated history of this young nation and what we just touched on i think is just the tip of the iceburg,as there's much more beneath the surface in this case;the present(and future) are just a product of your past more than anything else......funny i was just reading about various 'modern forms' of snake species displacing more primitive forms in certain 'ideal' habitat in our part of the world....i see some parallels actually but why the displaced ones are not thriving in this case is where it gets really complex;bottom line he who has the most drive and desire is gonna get it,assuming of course all else is in fact equal.when it comes to someone trying to better themselves(and family) through legal means such as simply working for a paycheck-if pedro simply 'wants it' more than say,bob or tyrone than it's hard for me to be mad at him for it.

i wasnt trolling
i was just saying (yes, it was in a sarcastic tone)if we let as many people in our country from mexico then why cant we get some animals as well. i have no problem with immigration at all. when its done legally! it was mostly a slam at our idiot president that im ashamed to say i voted for.
but in all honesty i think we should make an agreement with mexico and make it a us territory like we did with puerto rico and then we can go to mexico and mexico can come up here all legally. this would inturn allow for legal animal collection in mexico and allow mexicans to come over legally into our beutiful country and also have a say and equal rights.also the right to vote and make a real leap at the american dream.
you also make a great point most immigrant labor is labor that us americans are to lazy to do.
all in all everyone has greta points on this and yes it was sarcastic but serious none the same, if you read any of the thousand some odd posts ive made here over the ten odd years ive been on here you would see that i myself have made no threads that did not have a basis of truth behind them, you will find a couple of threads that i got sucked into that were started by trollers though
