Question on mice.....

LoKii Nov 09, 2007 12:45 AM

So I have 5 females and one male in a tank. I originally had one male and one female. After a couple of litters from this pair I decided to buy some more females, so I could produce more and stock up on my feeders for me snakes. Anyways all the females are pregnant in one degree or another. Well one had babies about a week ago and I have started to notice that the other females will take one or two babies and make a nest fro them and protect them and etc. Is this going to be a problem? Will the mom still feed them? or will the other females become surrigets? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Well to answer my own question everything seems to be ok. The other pregnat mice have decided to help out the momma mouse. They are keeping the babies warm and it looks like they are letting the nurse from them as well. Is this possible? Over all it seems like everyone is getting along.
