Shannon,

Actually a post like that can be taken the wrong way. I have no ties to this snake but it is a true hypo Florida king. Unfortunatly like many on "another forum" (who are firm in your convictions without knowing anything on the subject)are so quick to cut into anything that is new. It is really to bad when newbies or others read things like this such a beautiful morph can be resigned to nothing but hybrid status.

shannon brown Nov 09, 2007 03:31 PM

well, I was being honest. It looks like a okeetee corn (hypo I may add) but I was in no way saying it was a hybrid. Its just a look and a very cool one at that.
People can take it how they want but I will be very clear here.

Thats a great looking Fl King and has a cool looking okeetee pattern to it.

Bluerosy Nov 09, 2007 04:32 PM

well in case you have not tuned in trhere was a big to-do over that being a hybrid on a long thread that was erased. That smae snake picture was posted on another site and the stupidity continued on another long thread which was not erased by that forums admins.

It is no wonder our rights for keeeping snakes in this hobby are going to be taken away by legislatures. Too much infighting amongst ourselves. Then you have all the divisions of the hobby like the venemoids ("hots" people never confir with the non-hots, the balls, biods, ratsnakes, cornsnake, geckos ect are all fighting within their own groups. It is those people who have nothing better to do than want to make trouble for others, while in the meantime this hobby will be slowly taken away by regulation.

One reason I don't post on here much anymore. Join the chondro comminity. It is by far, the best community of people in the herp hobby. The only time I've seen any disruption is when another guy that starts trouble on this forum decide to get out of kings and get into chondros......and it's not me. HOORAAH!

Have fun.

My Jelly as pictured is light (m) and the fem is a PB in appearance (no pic) i guess the PB X T n-neg is a het DBL ? but homo PB? neet!

Bluerosy Nov 10, 2007 07:24 PM

Ya Chritopher. Can you imagine breeding the Jelly into other morphs and what will come out of that. whoa!

I tell you the what people in this hobby are going to see with Florida king genetics in the next 2-7 years in amazing.

and then even after 7 years it will keep snow-balling into even more new morphs. The shy is truly the limit with the Florida kings right now. Whats amazing to me in that time everybody will want to get onto the bandwagon. Only smart people are investing in hets, possible hets and visuals..and the investment is NOTHING compared to what the payoff will be. People spend a ton more on Ball Python morphs and they consider that an investment. LOL!

Upscale Nov 09, 2007 08:55 PM

Yo, Brookslyn!
I told you, you gotta go with those city shots- they are totally unique. Great snakes.

ZFelicien Nov 10, 2007 10:23 AM

Well if they would all sit still it would be great! maybe I need to construct an acrylic box solely for the purpose of "Brookslyn" shots...

Zenny,

You could just walk down the street and take pics of the Brookslyns anywhere. I bet a lot of people would want to see those kinds of shots.

CrimsonKing Nov 09, 2007 04:32 PM

It hatched along with other hypos...from the two adult yellow ones in the post.
I get reds and yellows..this one doesn't know which.
I'm gonna breed it to my ghost one day most likely..
I sold a very similar sibling and regret it.

That is kinda what I thought. The patterns on your hypos are different from what I normally see. That baby is a good example . Where/whom did you get the mom? Krysco?

CrimsonKing Nov 09, 2007 06:57 PM

Mom was a Love or Beard hatchling. Dad is from Krysko lines. He's the big, almost patternless looking one.

-----
"Yeah ya told me, and ya wrote it down too. But how the hell am I supposed to remember!"

kevine Nov 09, 2007 11:38 PM

Possible het for hypo. Both parents are Het Hypo.

CrimsonKing Nov 10, 2007 05:41 AM

Hi-orange hypo hets?? (as B.S. would say)
In my opinion they are the best looking "normal" FL kings out there.
I was trying to get (and keep) ones that make the least amount of ontogenetic changes. Some will keep alot of the red but the black still lightens up.. Imagine a 5' snake like the one pictured! yeeeoww.
Maybe I'll try again with a new batch.
All of mine sold quickly at Daytona...well before any morphs.
