I don't necessarily see darkening up as a bad thing. True, I personally prefer the lighter ones, but my dark girl Mauve that I got from you really looks great as a darkie.

Yeah, they can and do look gpood, I just love the extreme colors they can have....like Amber and Daisey! There are some really dark ones in Boo's litter this year as well but with a different father.

A 2004 girl I picked up from Boa master. A very pretty girl that was a bit of a slow feeder. Her secret is she loves the mice. Yeah takes a few (OK, more lake a half dozen) to get a meal into her but well worth the extra effort. She's ready to breed this season!!

Yeah and the lil be-otch is smart, no chasing mice with rats. No matter when, if a rat comes into play, it's refused. even if I catch it just right and place the head in her mouth as she's swallowing the mouse. She'll swallow the mouse and spit out the rat!!

Amber, born here in 2005, she was also a picky eater. In the last several months though she has turned around and is now wolfing down her meals. Still behind normal size by a fair amount, weighed in at 733 grams, 1/2 of breeding weight but on track for 2008 if she keeps up her new found appetite!!

I didn't even notice the blushing eclipse sides till Aubrey mentioned it because I was so captivated by her high contrast with tons of color. She's the first red I have seen that has the sort of saddle to body color contrast I like.

Congrats on another excellent specimen!

Updated her photographic history to show certain pics better (sizing) and to include present day pics.

This was the first pic I have showing Amber on 08/06/2005, not very clear but you can see Savannah around the water bowl and many of her babies crawling around. Amber is the one on the right side down on the newspaper.

Pic #2 shows Amber much clearer, you can really see her lack of crescents

A cropped closeup of just her from pic 2

When I was putting the individual babies into their own tubs, I saw her and thought "wow, what do we have here?" I had to take a couple of pics right away. You can see she still has her umbilical. Of course I gave her card number 1 from her litter - SA-PO-01

Now it's 09/30/2005, right after her second shed and the blush in her side medalions is starting to show.

11/03/2005 Three months old, just after third shed.

11/13/2005 A little over three months old, a week and half after third shed.

12/20/2005, outside in my cherry tree in natural light, WOW, this girl is starting to really glow. BTW, she shed just before these pics were taken.

Another pic on 12/20, inside under incandescent lighting

Two more pics on 12/20, outside again on the sidewalk one showing each side

Two pics from 06/01/2006, new pics for the website launch

07/11/2006, I took this pic with Amber, two Hypo's Dottie is more orange and Mickey is mostly toward the right, towards the left is Hook, one of my bullseyes, in the middle is Amber and toewards the right is Rose. I love this shot as it shows a LOT of variety in colors/patterns.

07/11 again, just Amber

09/04/2006, now just over a year old

11/03/2006, not a great pic but still a great subject

These four pics are from 01/12/2006. She was definately a great choice for holding back.
