breeding question?

dandjreptiles Nov 09, 2007 05:44 PM

I have cooled down all my ball pythons and have been rotating my male spider with the females . Now all the females are staying away from the heat in thier tubes. where it is cooler . now my question is do I still keep the temp down until mid feb? and keep rotating the spider ? or should I start to move the heat back up?

I would keep up what your doing and give the male the weekends off. Watch for ovulation which is a mid body swell. Once ovulation occurs the males job is done. Good luck!

During my daytime hours, (9am-7pm) I raise the temps up to 82 ambient temp, and hot spot at 92. At night, (7pm-9am) I lower my temps to 72 ambient, and 82 hotspot. I will keep the temps like this until mid February. Hope this helps.
