10 gallons/gecko minimum; my single gecko lives in a 20 gallon long, but she's kinda spoiled. You can house multiple geckos together, and many people do so successfully. If you're going to do that, it's important to have enough hides that they don't have to be on top of each other if they don't want to, and to watch them pretty carefully at first and separate them if any dominance/aggression issues crop up. Females can sometimes get territorial and fight with each other, though it's obviously less frequent than with males, who will almost always fight until one is either seriously injured or dead.
Generally it's thought of as better to house them separately unless you have some reason for putting them together, but as long as the geckos in question are pretty close to the same size, you most likely will not have a problem. Just make sure they're all eating well and not fighting. If you see anybody with injuries or weight loss issues, then you've got to separate them.
