Beautiful animals Derek. Just curious, when do you notice the defensive juvenile behaviors begins to slack off? I have a little '07 female who's a terror, or thinks she is anyway. Having been nailed twice by a large adult female woma (my most painful bites by far, by the way...dang bulldog jaws) I'm hopeful that her personality flowers a bit before she grows too much larger. I handle her a few times a week, but so far she's still quite defensive, and even once she's in my hands she's very jerky and I try not to ever wave my hand in front of her face. I'm imagining it's just one of those baby python things, but it'd be nice to get some confirmation.

I notice that they seem to calm down naturally around 18 to 24 months.
