How often do u mist cypress...

MannyRottie Nov 10, 2007 07:43 PM

I just converted my cellsorb to cypress for humidity reasons. I am aware that you must mist the tub. But how often do you mist without over doing it. Is once a day too much?

Mist as often as needed, you can tell when it needs to be wet down again. I usually don't totally soak the bedding, but at least enough to make it the nice dark color it gets when it is moist. Also if your just misting to up humidity it may not need as much depending how often you do it, during shed periods is when I definately like to make sure it is wet down enough.

.....as they said..as needed

open top racks or closed in racks?.......makes alot of difference....

I use cypress in open topped racks and aspen in closed....

I dump quart /quarts of warm water in them.....not mist a little bit............and not every day or even week........when needed...............
