pine shavings

are pine shaving safe to use with pits? is it true there can be long term effects if it is used? our cross is on pine shavings is this ok?

Its what I have always used for mine. I don't think there is any problem with it as long as the shavings are not extra dusty.

No you should not pine or ceder for bedding.They have oils in them that the snakes should not inhail.Its like you breathing the smell of gas it will kill you in the long run.This is what I've ben told.I use aspen and cypress my snakes are haethy as all hell.Get rid of the pine!
