I've been interested in getting into Ball Python breeding for over four years. Now that I am ready to make the investment, I am wondering if current breeder/hobbiests think prices have leveled off? I've been looking at Piebald het pairs for $800. If prices keep falling like the last three years, I might raise them for three years and find their value at breeding age/weight to be less than the $800 that I payed for them as babies and their offspring--- both hets and pieds,may be worth only a fraction of todays values! Im not expecting to get rich, but I would like to get a small return on my investment. Any thoughts on stability?

I would suggest investing your time and money on designer combinations. If you like the piebald morph perhaps you should think about Piebald x Axanthic, Piebald x Caramel, or Piebald x Clown. Dould Hets from these combinations will command a relatively high price for some time. The double homozygous form will still be rare and expensive for many many years. I actually believe a double homozygous form of the suggestions have not been produced.
