She waited until a week after I got home to drop her absolutely ginormous clutch, compared to last years three viable eggs!
My biggest worry was transporting her without any heat (not like I had time to get heat packs) and handling her as much as I had to while she was so fat with eggs.
Fortunately, she held out until I got home. The biggest thing I'd change would be having heat packs, one for each snake, on hand just in case. My snakes were without heat for a good four hours that morning while I got them out and helped evacuate others, so I'm just glad all the eggs even made it. Three cheers for tough snakes, yeah?
Actually, I work at a reptile store, and quite a few people came in afterwards asking how to heat their reptiles or keep them alive without any electricity. The best thing we came up with was the heat packs used for shipping!
Thanks for asking!
