I recently took my gecko to the vet for a eye infection. He gave her a shot of B12, and some antibiotics for the eye infection. He called it a persistant specula? Anyone heard of this? Also, what is the B12 for?

I believe a persistant specula is theterm they use for a snake who has not fully shed their eyecap scales. Not a leo problem. Though they may have a piece of shed left on an eyelid, it's not the same thing. Don't know what the B12 is for. Think you may want to reasearch a better herp vet.
