? about Piebald breeding

charbore Nov 11, 2007 11:53 AM

I am looking to invest in piebald babies. I was wondering how long it takes to raise a baby to the age/weight for breeding?

Males usually breed at a year old, but sometimes they breed sooner. Females usually start breeding around 2 years old, but some will breed at 18mos. Regardless of age, a female needs to be at least 1500g before breeding. I'd suggest buying your females now, raising them to breeding size, then buying your male.

Hope this helps,
Shelly
