I just went to put tomorrow's food in for the dragons, and I must say, they really have attitudes about getting rudely awakened. My usually nice Tehko had a fit. He was flattening, hissing, and puffing at me. All I wanted to do was put his dish in and lay a tape measure over him to see how big he is(I guess i'll wait till he's hanging on the door. They just look at me like,"Yeah, I appreciate the food, but uh... lady, could you please wait until I am awake to put it in here. Ok, good, now that you got it shut the door and leave me alone."
Oddly, when they were in my room and would wake me up in the morning making noise because they were hungry, I got right up and did what they asked. I just try to do it before they get hungry and they get mad. Little brats that they are.
However, all the beardies have great color at night. So at least I do get to see that.

eh its probably just instinct...as wild animals, getting woken up in the middle of the night probably usually means youre about to be dinner for something nocturnal 
plus a lot of humans are the same way when you wake em up me...thats the best way to get anythign you want from me. if im half asleep, ill agree to just about antyhing

I have my 8 week old beardies by the Tv until i can get the reptile room painted, but sometimes when I'm up late I'll pick one up and it'll just sleep on my stomach while i'm laying on the couch, lol, I guess mine are just lazy.

hehe im noticing than when my new beardie sleeps, he REALLY sleeps. ive actually gotten scared that he died on me. silly lizards
