As a Florida resident, I can't own an indigo. I use to catch them regularly growing up and am somewhat jealous of those who get to keep them.
I am; however, interested in getting an Indian python shipped to me from out of state. They too are listed on the ESA. Do you guys have to get registered as Captive Bred Wildlife facilities (a $200 fee and yearly reporting if I am reading the US F & W permit site correctly) in order to transfer the indigos across state lines, or do you merely have to get an interstate commerce permit ($100 one time)?
I am trying to figure out how much it will cost and how much hassle to have a pair or two of Indian pythons shipped to me from out of state.
