after shedding ? ? ?

svt-sinister Aug 24, 2003 12:12 AM

I just got a snake and i got it in the middle of its shedding mode. Anyway it shedded and i tried giving it a frozen pinkie and it didnt take it. My question is, will the snake eat right away after shedding?

I dont think they have any problem eating after a shed. I usualy feed my kings right after their shed because during shed mode they don't eat for about 5-7 days. Maybe your snake was startled when you went to feed it. If I start makeing fast movements when im feeding them they usually retreat and don't feel like feeding. Best of luck,
