I was wondering how often they shed. mine is still very small and just shed about 2 weeks ago. looks like he is getting started again - is that right?

I also can't tell if it is a she or he. Tac( it's name) is always in the plants and I can't get a look . any other ways to tell. has a crest on head and I think I've seen the troat flap.
