I screwed up

holygouda Nov 13, 2007 03:00 PM

Last week I was moving to Colorado from Florida and got into a car accident in Missouri. All of my reptiles were killed along with my Expedition, the uhaul trailer and most of my posessions. I am so completely devistated but happy my wife and I are alive.

I feel so terribly guilty and I will miss all of them.

R.I.P. to my Asian Water Monitor(my baby), 2 Peachthroat monitors and 4 Crested Geckos.

Hopefully I will be back around when I get a computer, but as for keeping reptiles, I'm a little unsure(hopefully in the future).

I hope everyone here is doing well.
-Jeff

Thank God you and your Wife are alive!
As for your other things, they can all be replaced!

Keep your chin up Brother, you'll be back!
Good luck.

Thanks Mike! I really appreciate that.

Now that the "I'm glad we are alive" stage is beginning to pass, Im really starting to miss my lizards.

Jeff,

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a horrible experience.

I know that some of your friends here may want to help but friends, please take it to email so we don't violate rules. I don't want Jeff to miss out on any of your help.

Wow! Jeff, I'm definitely glad to hear that you & your wife are OK. Like you said, now that you're kinda, sorta, over that gratefulness it's reckoning time for the loss of your pets.

It's OK to grieve for them but don't let it keep you down. You say that you screwed up, we all make mistakes. Buddy, you've got to forgive yourself and move on. Don't let it keep a good man down, 'cause it sure will if you let it.

Just be thankful for the time you had with them, keep them in mind, and live life to it's fullest. We're all right here anytime you need us. Fire me an e-mail whenever ya want.

Hang in there!

Thanks mate!

I appreciate the boost of confidence. Now I've just gotta find a new place with some space, figure out how to gather up some cash and start from square one. Still hopeful I will have some more monitors sooner than later! Hopefully I will be around more when I get a computer up and running...

I feel your pain, losing all but one of my critters to a house fire.

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
