Pastel Albinos 2007 and maybe 2008???

Pastel Albinos 2007 and maybe 2008???

We have not made nearly as many Pastel Albinos as I would like to. We do have a few though and hope to have a good year breeding and making a few more this coming year. Here is one of the Pastel Albino Sunglows about six months ago:

Here is a rear shot of the same little fellow working over his fully opaque girlfriend a few days ago:

Here they are after she had a fresh shed:

I guess there aren't too many hets out there that have the kind of color this girl has are there?

I just hope this little fellow becomes a Daddy in about six month or so. That would make me really happy.

Here is a 6 1/2' female Pastel Albino that is four years old. I have been trying to get good pictures of her for years! Today was finally the day! This girl is an Auntie of the little Pastel Albino Sunglow in the shots above and the sister of that het. Looks like a little red influence runs in the family huh?

Note the newspaper isn't pink and the Aspen isn't orange.

"Note the newspaper isn't pink and the Aspen isn't orange."

I always wondered where people got that pink newspaper and orange aspen. I assumed they all lived in the same city that preferred pink paper. There sure seems to be a lot of high colored boas in this city. I should track that place down. Apparently outsiders have nice boas, too. Or perhaps your boas are just covered in the pink from the newspaper and the orange from the aspen. Apparently they are not color fast substrates.

Amazing boas!

Yea the camera flash will sometimes reflect a bit of the color of the animal onto the newspaper, but only right next to the animal. I love it when people post those pictures of really red Albinos or Sunglows where the entire newspaper looks to have been dipped in pink dye stain or that aspen looks like it was made from orange peelings. Still, some seem to be fooled by this deception. One fellow not only has pink newspaper and orange Aspen but even the tubs that hold his animals have that distinct pink cast to them.

We all want more color in our animals. It's just that a photo program isn't really the most gratifying way to get it.

I usually just dip my animals in a mild solution of Rit dye.
Don't have Photoshop.
