Squirt's Food List for the Past 12 Days!

AndrewFromSoCal Nov 15, 2007 02:52 AM

4 4wk Crickets.
1 Adult Male B. Lateralis.
1 crestie bite of banana baby food.

Does anyone see a problem with this?

You, Gecko Saints. Tell me why Squirt doesn't want to eat. Is it because of the temperature change? Not enough hiding places? His hate for the rule of Andrew?

We need to get to the bottom of this. His hips aren't protruding, so he's not to the point where he's that skinny. What is the freakin' deal. If he was stopped up, would he still eat, just not be able to poop?

Come on Herp Gods, I NEED ANSWERS!

i apologize if you've already answered these questions, but how do you know how much of the fruit/CGD he's eating? what kind of dish are you using and how much do you put in it/how often? have you been weighing him regularly? if so, have you noticed a significant loss and over what period of time? when was the last time he pooped?

cooler temperatures, new environment/lack of hiding places, stress can all cause decreased appetite. does he have a lot of foliage near the top of the cage so he can sandwich himself between the leaves?

is this the cage you have him in?

if so, there aren't really any good places for him to hide.

He has triple as much leaf litter now, and i'm still trying to get some fake plants. I only know what he's eaten because there are bite sized chunks taken out of the food. The temperature is about 72 these days at night, it's getting colder in socal. I havn't been weighing him regularly, because I don't handle him. I will try to get his weight this weekend.

i wouldn't be too picky about your fake plants if you're having that much trouble. keep in mind leaf litter does not suit the nature of an arboreal creature.

a drop into the upper 60's at night is normal for them this time of year.
