sephuk Nov 15, 2007 10:35 AM

i fed the snakes last night, my femle jumped out of the water and grabbed a med rat, went to the nxt tub to "try" to feed a royal, wen i looked back to the female brb shed taken the rat in the water and as she was squeezing blood was comming out of the nose of the rat untill the water was completly red. She was still sitting in the browny/red water this morning!! She stinks gonna go put her in the bath!!

That is pretty gross. I can't believe she sat in the bloodwater all night. I bet she was smelling pretty foul today.

LOL, been there, done that. I now always take them out of the water bowl prior to feeding. Not just the blood but rat poop and urine, I figure it can't be good for them to be in nasty water.

And even more gross IMO is when they poop in the water and then stay in it!!! YUCK!!!!

oh gotta love that, or when they poop and then curl up on top of it so you can't see it. at least you can see the ones in the water.
