Looking for a spec crocodile documentary

rex17 Nov 15, 2007 03:50 PM

Hello everyone,

one of my friend told me he saw a documentary few years ago where a male crocodile was eating crocodile cubs.
Does anybody remember the title of this documentary? I knew that female croc held their cubs inside their mouth to protect them. I'd like to see this other side of their nature.

Thanks to all.

Rex.

There are several documentaries that have this shown. One is "Crocodiles: Here be Dragons" by National Geographic. Even female crocodilians will eat younger crocs if the opportunity presents itself and they are NOT her newborn young.

BTW, crocodiles have babies...bears have cubs

hello!
Thanks a lot for the answer ^^
I've seen it but it wasn't the documentary my friend has seen ^^; He told me about a scene where you could see a daddie croc eating the babies of his wife, one by one, scooping them up on his muzzle and bending it to swallow. Does this reminds you any of those documentary?

Eheh I know it sounds weird, but in the documentary I am used to watch, the cruel side of nature is often cutted, thus my curiosity.

Thanks again.

Rex.

This doesn't ring a bell of any that I've seen. You should check out the filmography section of crocodopolis.net. http://www.crocodopolis.net/film.htm

That's the most complete list that I can think of where you might be able to find something that rings a bell.

Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. The only thing I know is that it cannot have been produced after 2003 ^^.
