Indigo's in FL

RearFanged Nov 15, 2007 06:54 PM

From what I hear it's next to impossible to get the federal permit to keep indigo's in FL. Is this the case with Texas indigo's as well? Would it still be hard to get the permit even if one purchased c.b.b. animals from a different state? Anyone with info on how I could look further into this?

Thanks in advance,

John

I believe Texas Indigos are fine in Florida without any permit at all.

John,

I live in FL as well and there are no restrictions on owning Texas Indigos (erebennus). I have Texans and West Coast Indigos (rubidus) and have been reporting them on my state reptile license application to FWC for a few years now.....no problem. I have one yearling male Texan available if you are interested.

: ( I really was more interested in the Easterns. Guess I'll just go a different direction.
