I am going on a long road trip that will have me on the road for approx. 2 1/2 days maybe 3, i have to bring my ammie, along with a few other herps. I am concerned about how to prepare my ammie for the trip and how to safely bring it with me. Should i worry about humidity and temps, should i bring heat packs, and mist as well.

Payce, Ramon

temperatures are always important!! In the past I've used a cooler with water bottles in them and just put my herps in the cooler in a shoe box on top of towels and the warm water bottles/ bags and a thermometer so I can keep an eye on the temps and if it starts cooling off to much you can stop at a rest stop or a gas station and refresh the warm water. The amount of time will depend on the size of cooler and how much water you have inn it. I have had this last 8 to 10 hour before needing more warm water, if your not opening the cooler to much. Just be carefull not to make the water to hot until you get an idea of how much heat you are holding so you don't over heat any thing

You could buy a inverter for your car to power a heat pad. Then just put the snakes in tubs.
