2008: Year of the Rubidus?

steve fuller Nov 16, 2007 05:20 PM

A connection to recent posts on first matings - I guess people are playing their cards close to the vest. From conversations this summer I know of four breeders hoping to have rubidus hatchlings next year. There must be others and I don't know what's up with Jeff's.

I observed my pair mating for the first time late last month.
Mullet Fingers has mated with three female Easterns. Round two starts after Thanksgiving.

JR has mated with two Texas females. Because he's in a shed, second matings are on hold. A visiting male is filling in.

don't have any rubidus but my uni's started hooking up in mid september & the yt's have been breeding for about 3 weeks now. it could be a exasperating summer of starting reluctant hatchlings if both females produce. :>/
