what happened to hondo prices?

classdwhite Nov 16, 2007 08:00 PM

i was just looking at past hondo prices and in '05 snows were listed as being $1700 - 2000!!!! i see them all the time now for around $300! what happened? that seems to be on par with the price drop of ball pythons. it seems the prices for all the hondurans have dropped drastically over the last couple of years, i know a decline in prices is inevitable but why so drastic?

I think there are just so many hondos being produced that it's causing the prices to drop quickly. As much as I hate to agree with you it's similar (on a much smaller scale)to the price drops with ball pythons you mentioned. How many of a species or certain color phase of a species there are and how hard they are to find strongly effects the pricing. Randy W.

It's the basic economic law of Supply & Demand...........Oh and there was that thing about a couple of guys that tried to corner the Snow market, produced alot, and then got impatient and dumps their snows thus killing it for everyone....end of story.............
